Scudder has communicated with shareholders and other interested parties on Prodigy since 1988 and has participated since 1994 in GALT's Networth "financial marketplace" site on the Internet. In 1996, the firm made Scudder Funds information available on America Online. In June 1996, Scudder also hired Deborah C. Miles as a new vice president responsible for electronic marketing Deborah C. Miles, who joined the firm from L.L. Bean, Inc., where she helped launch that company's Web site.
